The Canadian Passive House Institute West is a member organization, delivering educational and training courses, and networking events across Canada. We facilitate information sharing and aim to foster the growth of the Passive House community.
We are a member of the North American Passive House Institute and an affiliate of the International Passive House Association, working closely with regional groups in Canada such as Passive House Quebec, and also work in collaboration with other green building associations.

Our Mission
CanPHI West contributes to the sustainability of the built environment through supporting and advocating for the use Passive House design and construction principles and practices through education, outreach and capacity building.
We’re actively training and connecting people and organizations who wish to radically improve the energy efficiency of new and existing buildings. We support the Canadian building industry in developing materials and components of the highest performance and quality, as required by the Passive House approach.
Nobody can build a Passive House on their own – we’re here to provide support and build a strong Passive House community across Canada.
